The TAA community was saddened by the news that a former TAA athlete, Kevin Van Lenten, 24, of Topsfield passed away suddenly in November of 2014. The name Kevin Van Lenten, lovingly known as KVL is synonymous with sports. His passion for playing sports began as early as TAA U-8 Soccer and T-Ball and continued on with youth basketball, baseball, lacrosse, and football. Kevin graduated from Masconomet Regional High School in 2008 where he was honored to captain the boys' soccer, basketball, and lacrosse teams. He continued his studies at Bridgton Academy and St. Anslem’s College, where he played Varsity soccer.
The Scholarship Fund was started to establish a legacy in memory of Kevin Van Lenten to assist graduating Tri-Town student athletes with tuition and related college expenses and donate to other worthy causes that Kevin would have wanted to impact.
